Bibliographic Information: Green, D. Human Body Factory. (2012). New York: Kingfisher.
Brief Annotation: A very detailed, kid-oriented description of all of the systems and functions of the human body.
Genre: Informational (NF)
Grade Level: 4-7
Readers who will like this: Students who are interested in anatomy or science.
Rating/Response: 2. Although it is incredibly detailed, it is almost too much information to take in. I would recommend reading through one page per day at maximum. The illustrations are very much like those in “Where’s Waldo?” books, which would be appealing to young students.
One question you would ask before a read aloud: What do you know about the human body? How much do you think you know about it?
